Emily is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who works with individuals (ages 12 and up) and couples. Emily has experience working with a variety of areas including mental health concerns (e.g. anxiety, depression, self-esteem, work-stress), trauma, grief, relationships issues, and life transitions.
Emily’s approach to therapy is humanistic and client-centered, and she offers a diversity of counseling theories and strategies including but not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy, all within a trauma-informed practice. Emily holds level 2 Certification in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Emily’s believes that we all have the ability to step back from our life, observe how the unhelpful patterns continue to persist, and learn new ways of coping.
