Julia Rubini (She/Her/Hers)
Julia Rubini (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) who graduated from the University of Waterloo with her Master’s of Social Work (MSW). With over four years experience in Child Welfare, Julia has grown passionate about working alongside children, youth and families. Utilizing therapeutic approaches in the community has motivated Julia towards providing direct therapy to children, youth and adults.
Julia’s work is rooted in attachment theory, while utilizing a trauma-informed lens as well as solution focused and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approaches. This may include work to develop healthy coping skills, navigating everyday stressors and life challenges, or working on healthy communication and boundary setting.
You are the expert of your own life story, but having someone to turn to when navigating difficult feelings and events can be what is necessary to accomplish changes in how you feel on a daily basis. Julia strives to make individuals young and in adulthood to feel heard, understood, and safe, which will allow a trusting therapeutic relationship to flourish.
