Relationship therapy is focused on improving communication and connection within romantic partnerships. Our clinicians employ a robust and evidence-based treatment method with some of our clinicians having training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. We support both monogamous and ethically non-monogamous relationships.
Relationship Counselling & Psychotherapy
Working with children and adolescents requires a unique skill set. Our clinicians work to build a strong and trusting relationship with your child and employ a number of different models to meet your child where they’re at in their growth and development. Our clinicians seek to create an environment that fosters emotional awareness and develop coping strategies for self-regulation and expression.
Child & Adolescent Counselling & Psychotherapy
Our clinicians work in tandem with you through techniques, strategies, education and insight development with the ultimate goal of helping your family thrive. At times it may be appropriate for your therapist to work directly with yourself, your child, and any co-parents involved in your child's care.
Parenting Support
Having a clinician with a compassionate, sensitive and informed understanding of what it means to be a part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community is not only important for progression in therapy, but necessary to feel safe in your exploration of self. Our clinicians have additional training in working effectively alongside the LGBTQIA+ community and offer a safe environment for growth and healing. At Rising Insight, our approach is to not simply “accept” your identified sexuality and gender, but to celebrate it.

ADHD/ADD coaching is a goal-centric intervention that works to develop goals with clients related to executive functioning. Specifically, coaching work strengthens organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, while managing impulsivity, distraction and lack of focus. This intervention can be fundamental for people living with an attention disorder to allow them to meet their potential.

EEG Neurofeedback is a therapeutic modality that uses technology to promote self-regulation. Electrodes are placed on your head to measure brain waves and this information is sent to a computer program. This program then rewards your brain through audiovisual feedback when it engages in healthy self-regulation of brain function. Neurofeedback has been found to be efficacious for the treatment of anxiety, ADHD, hypertension, and TMJ. It has also been used to treat arthritis, chronic pain, migraines, insomnia, PTSD, and other mental health conditions.

Psychotherapy is a talk therapy treatment that addresses cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and social concerns. There are over four hundred different therapeutic models and orientations, and our clinicians have been trained in a variety of them to support our clients with the best treatment for them. Success in psychotherapy is built on the therapeutic alliance between therapist and client, so finding a therapist that you can establish trusting rapport with is crucial.

Our goal in Career Counselling is to create opportunities for meaning making through the work that you do. Using values, curiosity, and a plan for action, we’ll explore and test-out versions of yourself that represent who you are, what you believe, and what you want your purpose to be in the world. Wherever you are in life, we can support you in gaining the clarity and comfort needed to step forward into the sort of person you want to grow into and how your career can fit into and support this version of your life.

EMDR is a well-researched and effective therapeutic model for trauma and PTSD. This type of therapy employs dual-attention stimulation to employ a natural, adaptive brain process that desensitizes and reprocesses traumatic experiences. This allows for some resolution of past traumas and a reduction in trauma responses that you may currently be experiencing.
