Get to Know Ilirida

There are times in life when everything just feels heavy. Maybe it’s the weight of anxiety that

doesn’t seem to let up, or sadness that lingers longer than you expected. Maybe you’re carrying

the impact of past experiences or feeling the pressure to keep everything together when, deep

down, it feels like things are falling apart. Sometimes the struggle is loud and overwhelming,

and other times it’s a quiet, nagging disconnection that’s hard to explain. Whatever it is you're

facing, I want you to know you don’t have to go through it alone.

I’m Ilirida, and my path to becoming a therapist started long before I had the title. As an

immigrant, I grew up in a world where mental health wasn’t something we talked about openly.

There wasn’t always space to name what I was feeling, and for a long time I held it all in, unsure

how to make sense of the thoughts and emotions swirling inside me. Over time, through my own

therapy journey, I found what it means to feel heard, understood, and supported. That

experience changed me, and it’s what inspired me to do this work.

Now, I have the privilege of supporting people who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma,

addiction and self-esteem. I know how overwhelming life can feel when we’re stuck in our own

heads or weighed down by things we’ve never fully processed. My hope is to offer a space

where you can breathe a little easier, speak freely, and feel safe enough to be fully yourself.

My approach is warm, curious, and deeply human. I use evidence-based practices like

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care, but at the

heart of my work is connection. Therapy with me is less about fixing and more about exploring,

understanding, and finding your way forward together.

I also offer therapy in both English and Albanian, and I know how important it is to feel culturally

understood without needing to explain every little detail of your background or experience.

I know that starting therapy is a big step, and finding the right therapist can make all the

difference. That’s why I offer free consultations so you can get a feel for who I am, ask any

questions you might have, and see if it feels like a good fit. Therapy is a personal experience,

and you deserve to work with someone who makes you feel safe, supported, and understood. If

you're curious or ready to begin, I’d be happy to connect and walk alongside you as you take

this next step.
