Get to Know Kathleen

Life unfolds through our connections—with ourselves, our families, and those we love. These relationships can bring moments of deep joy as well as times of conflict, confusion, or change. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and gently explore these experiences, to understand how patterns have formed, and to create new ways of relating that feel grounded and authentic.

In my work, I support children, youth, families, and couples as they navigate life's challenges together. I believe that when one person in a family struggles, the effects are felt by everyone. In our sessions, I pay close attention to the dynamics within relationships, helping each person feel seen, heard, and valued. My approach is trauma-focused and attachment-informed, integrating emotion-focused, strengths-based, and culturally responsive perspectives. I also draw from family systems thinking, recognizing that growth happens not in isolation but within connection.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as an educator working with children and adolescents at both the primary and secondary levels. That experience continues to shape my understanding of the pressures young people face and the importance of collaboration between families and caregivers.

In therapy, I bring warmth, curiosity, and authenticity. My goal is to create a space where you can safely explore your story, strengthen relationships, and uncover the resilience that already exists fully and truly within you. I would be honoured to walk alongside you as you take your next steps forward.
