Get to Know Lauren
Life can feel disjointed at times - like certain pieces just aren’t falling into place, no matter how hard we try. You might be navigating change, carrying old wounds, or wondering why certain patterns keep repeating. In those moments, it’s easy to feel like something’s missing or out of place. I believe therapy can be the space where we gently turn the pieces over, look at them from new angles, and start making sense of the bigger picture.

Through my life experiences, I’ve come to view people the way I view places: layered, shaped by their surroundings, and always evolving. Who we spend time with, the environments we inhabit, and the habits we form all play a powerful role in our mood and behaviour. That’s why I use a biopsychosocial lens to understand the full context of your life, not just the surface symptoms.
Throughout my training as a counsellor and personal experiences, I learned that sometimes the most impactful messages are the ones you hear at just the right moment, from the right person. My goal is to be that person for you - compassionate, curious, and not afraid to gently challenge the stories that might be holding you back.
In our work together, I draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with a holistic focus on the foundations of well-being, like sleep hygiene, stress, relationships, and how you speak to yourself. These two modalities aim to help you identify and improve your strengths, while supporting you in living a life that aligns with your values. Together, we’ll build on what’s working, analyze what’s not, and reconnect you with the life you want to live.
Therapy doesn’t have to be a daunting experience. Sometimes all it takes is a shift in perspective, a change in habit, or a moment of clarity to feel more like yourself again. Wherever you’re starting from, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you, and finally give those pieces a place to belong.
