Get to Know Sarah
Sarah Adam is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Western University. Sarah has experience working with post- secondary students and adults, both in community and post-secondary settings, whilst using a person-centred, anti-oppressive approach.
Sarah’s clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress and race-related stress, and interpersonal difficulties. She uses an evidence-based approach that is strengths-based and change-oriented. As an integrative therapist, Sarah utilizes techniques from various theoretical modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Sarah believes in the importance of establishing a genuine connection with clients in order to facilitate values-based living. She offers a supportive, non-judgemental space to foster insight, personal reflection, and empowerment to collaboratively address each client’s concerns.
